West Point Fire CERT is seeking your help with the purchase of an updated Radio repeater system.  During the Butte Fire, the repeater that we use for communication failed because of the power outage. The system does not have back up power needed to operate during such times. The main reason for this is that the part needed are no longer manufactured, not a big surprise that repeater was discontinued in 1990. 

We are seeking help on the upgrade of the repeater system, that will keep working during a power outage. We are also looking for a few more handheld type radios, and two base units that will work with the new repeater so we can send the photos  to the Fire Station or Command Post.
